Edisto Beach

NOOOO Detecting allowed. Stay off my Beach. LOL. YES Edisto is a Public Beach and Detecting is allowed. I have not made it down to Edisto Yet so I dont know what the prospects may be. Have a Great Vacation. Welcome to South Carolina.
 
I have detected there twice and only found clad.Scroll down on the chamber site to metal detecting paragraph.Google the Addams relic info. for their web site if you are interested in going relic hunting during your visit.

you can detect there just not the state park side of the beach. I am in Charleston and hit up Edisto not long ago. Found enough bottle caps to start a collection... and a couple pairs of sunglasses. As far as the River goes not the beach.. I think the water runs too fast. I was digging bottle caps at 10+ inches so a gold ring would have to be twice as deep. I think only luck in finding anything is if its a fresh drop good luck with it. HH
 
I have never had any prolems detecting Edisto Beach, It a Public Beach and cover all your Holes. I usually stay at Edisto Beach State Park. I have not found much but be sure to obey all the Parking Rules. Parking spots are easy to find. Good Luck and keep us informed, My next Reservations are May 2013.
