I have been trying to get permission to MD an old house, but the people weren't home. I MD'ed a tot lot in a poor neighborhood instead. A really bad idea. It was all wet clay and grass. I decided to go to the "wheat field." When I first MD'ed it, the field was dry. It has rained for the last three days.
That was a good idea. The digging was easier and the targets started coming. I got one silver.

I got one 1887 Indian Head cent.

This is my favorite. It is a cap badge from the Royal Air Force. It has a king's crown on it which means it is from 1901 to 1952. Some of the crowns vary and I can't get an exact date on it. They sell for 10 to 15 pounds. Cool find for the mountains of WV.

The total: eight wheat's, 1910, 1916, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1942, 1945, and 1946. Lead soldier, lantern top and that knobby thing on bottom was a fun dig. They had big field stones as a side walk. It was underneath the stone. I was hoping it was a Barber.
