Environmental covers for the CTX

Hi everyone

Just got a CTX and I'm looking to get a set of high quality environmental covers for it. Was wondering if anyone out there has some advice on where I may acquire a set. I've been looking at the Theausaus one made in the UK as I have owned them before and I was happy with the quality.

Thanks,
Ray

I think you're on the right track with the Thesaurus version, as it's maker seems to also have a good reputation and they do look high quality.
I tried obtaining a version from a manufacturer here in Australia, but he seemed disinterested, so had to look abroad.
Would have liked the US made version but seems just a little too high priced at this end.
Did some online research and had been looking around for a while and finally decided to order the cover set for my CTX3030 from Thesaurus just before last Christmas.
Was emailed just 2 days ago and I am told the black version I ordered is on it's way.

Hope they are as good as they seem.

If you are in the US, there is a guy in Iowa that makes a wide range of covers with a focus on Minelab units. Great quality and fast shipping. His name is Dean Ricker and they are priced under $30 for various models.

I am not able to post a link to his website due to forum rules; however, a Google search for "Deano's Minelab Screen and Touchpad Protectors" will get you headed in the right direction. Contact information is also in the Accessory chapter of The CTX 3030 Handbook.

The options available from overseas are first rate but time to receive and shipping costs are factors to consider.

I received mine last week from Dean and it fits like a glove.. very happy with it. great protection for head unit from my dirty gloves / fingers when using menu buttons.. wish i had it from the first day.. Not sure about sun visor yet, but it's removable via attached velcro..

I also ordered a set of Deano's Minelab Screen and Touchpad Protectors. Excellent value and as stated fit like a glove. I took it one further and put a screen protector directly on the screen itself such as used on smart phones iPads etc. Bought a universal screen protector kit 3 pack by WriteRight at Walmart for around $6.

So is there any US option for something like the full body cover from the UK protectors? I really like that set but the reviews I've seen aren't too encouraging.
