I just got the equinox 700,decided to get it over the 900 because i wont be nugget hunting. My last detector was a whites dfx and i thought it was a pretty good machine but this thing has impressed me already on the depth it gets.My first trip out to a local park i didnt find any coins but dug some pulltabs at 7 to 9 inchs and they were ringing loud and clear.Took it to my moms house, which i have hunted many times with the dfx and other detectors and found 3 wheat pennies and several other 60s coins at 6 to 9 inches that im positive the other detectors didnt see. What really impressed me was i had to turn the sensitivity down to 14 because of power lines and it still performed that well.Icant wait to get this thing out somewhere with no interference to see how deep it will go,very happy so far.

Great report! The only downside is you’re digging 7-9” for a pulltab. In all my experience detecting, deep pull tabs indicates fill has been used. However all hope is not lost as the park department may have dumped old coins too. Good luck in the field!

Yes it will run circles around the dfx. I got the 900. It will certainly get the stuff the others missed. I have found some coins my others including the deus 2 missed as well.

Not saying anything against the deus 2.

I love the large ID screen on it too.

Yeah i was thinking it was kind of strange finding pulltabs that deep but never thought about it being fill dirt.It could be they redone the parking lot a couple years ago.
