Equinox 900 on the way

I have decided to go with an equinox 900 coming from using XP products for the past few years.

Nothing against XP at all. They are fantastic units.

I had an eq600. I liked a lot of things about it except for the numbering scale and also the not so great locking collars the first generation suffered from.

Now with the 2nd generation equinox units they have upgraded the shaft, coil ears and also the numbering TID scale to 99.

Last night I received my xterra pro. Swinging that little thing around for a bit in the test garden made me pull the trigger on the eq900.

Am very pleased with the expanded TID scale.

Anyways....looking forward to it.

From everything I have saw I like it.

How stable is the vdi on good targets like coins at average depth?

And also how much better do you think the overall build quality is??

The more I use mine the more I like it

Took it for a little spin. Not much left here at home to dig up but did find some modern bullets and old shotgun brass with ease.

I am looking forward to getting on a real hunt with it though.
