Equinox Updates?

Could someone please clarify the following statement made on P. 67 of the Equinox Manual:

EQUINOX Series detector
have the ability to accept
software updates via USB and
XChange 2 (Windows or Mac
OS compatible).
Visit www.minelab.com for upto-
date EQUINOX Software and
installation instructions.

Based on the above statement, compatible computers are both Windows and Mac OS, but
when I visited the Minelab Download Site, it indicates that the X Change 2 app. is only supported by Windows?

Any idea when the new xchange2 program will be available?

I have no Idea, was told by one of the testers it'll have it's own format, not the one used by the CTX.
My guess would be, whenever an update is available.

Minelab put the update info in the WM 08 section. It says you will use the XChange 2 software to make the connection.
The XChange 2 manual is not updated for the Equinox, yet, I assume it will have to be.
I just downloaded the app and took a look. It looks like a wealth of info may/will be available.
I can not do much with the program without registering and having a CTX or GPZ7200. But the manual is an interesting
thing to read over, even though not much will be relevant to the Equinox. Yes, a revision/re-write will be necessary for
both the manual and program.

I was one of the early CTX owners and had to deal with the Windows only problem for years!
