I thought I’d seen the same question before too...maybe not.

Site selection,soil makeup and an individual operators own talents as far as coil control is concerned would all have to be ABSOLUTELY EQUAL when using the 2 machines to make a SCIENTIFICALLY VALID comparison. Even the whole “flagging signals and then comparing once it’s been found by one of the machines” will not fly...that leaves out the ability of machine and operator to find the target in the first place.

The CTX3030 in the hands of an operator who gets along well with it will be relevant for the foreseeable future,as will ANY machine which continues to provide results that the operator is happy with.

I DO believe the Equinox will be “better” on gold,which is why I will eventually buy one. FBS/2 will find gold,IF the operator has it optimized to do so.
