Got the E Trac back home in short order from Minelab service (thanks guys!)
There is an old farm site within a half mile of my house, I can actually see the fields from my deck. The oldest Beers map that I can find for my area has the farm there in 1854, but I think it was there a good while before that, So yesterday it was about 90 and humid, and after a long day at work I figured I'd give it a try.
The fields were cut last weekend, so the grass was low, and the deer flies and mosquito's were out in full force enjoying the summer night.
It was a worthwhile hunt, two buckles and three crotel bells (I had only found one in the last 5 years!), and one flat button with shank attached. By the look of the finds, it seems that the farm was there in the 1700's, what do you folks think? Thanks for reading my ramble!
