Etrac and Detech Ultimate 13in coil

That's very possible. Here in Pa it works considerably better than the Pro coil. I will say last year I did get a bad coil from Kellyco but they did send a new one at no charge.

Its not for everyone, just like detectors, some guys are great with one machine and lousy with another but that doesn't the machine is junk.

interesting but how you know coil is bad?

It was very evident, after suspecting such I took the coil to one of my usual hunting spots where deep targets are common. I could not hit a silver dime past 6 or seven inches while the sensitivity was running at 25.

After seeing that I done some air tests comparing a 6" Detech to the 13" Ultimate and there was no comparison. The 6" Detech could hit the dime at 9" while the 13" Ultimate barely got it at 7"

When I called kellyco they asked my "Why" I said it was bad and I told them all I just explained to you.

After that it was a "Yes send it in and we will replace it"

I did have to wait till they recieved my coil and then they sent out another but all at "No cost" to me.

i tested so many coils and learn that its very hard to make something better than original coil mainly because coil is just one part of detector, if we want different performance we need different detector with different coil. In some ground situation we can improve detector performance with different coil but very little and most users will never notice. If short - people stop buying coils, better one more different detector with different capability.
