I have tried many different detectors just looking for that perfect one that fits my style of hunting. I had an Etrac and sold it to a forum member to try something else. Long story short I just bought another Etrac and I'm done looking. In my opinion the Etrac is the best detector on the market for what I mainly use it for.
So the detector arrives yesterday and I have a couple hours before dark so I take it to one of my regular spots.
I dug the usual clad but was really looking for deep silver signals. I was working a soccer field when I got a nice 12-04 signal. I usually dont dig these because most of the time its junk and I did not want to waste what little time I had left digging junk but there was just something about this signal. It was just too clean sounding if that makes sense. So I dig it and about 3-4 inches down out comes this gold high school ring from 1973.
I then moved over to another area I know is just loaded with iron. Get a nickel signal and it turns out to be the bracelet in the picture. I can not find any markings on it. I then moved to a spot I have hit with all my other detetctors several times. This is a strip of grass about 4 ft wide surrounded by two concrete strips where bleachers used to sit around 100ft long. I thought I cleaned it out. I start down the strip and it was not long before I found the silver ring then a wheat penny. By this time it was about to get dark so I had to leave. I will return to the spot and go over the strip of grass again to see what else I missed. I have already taken problaby 5-6 silver coins from that spot.
