Hi forum! New etrac owner here,bought a nice used machine via the internet and learning all the ropes. My question is,, Have there been Etrac updates or m odifications that require a unit to be sent back to the factory to get "rehabbed and updated?" I don't know the history of my particular unit, just that it works good and looks good, but thought I would ask.

Factory upgrades from Minelab? 
The eTRAC even though its got a, IMO, a useless USB connector believe it or not, it IS NOT capable of firmware updates.
The Minelab 'flagship detector' the CTX 3030 IS capable of firmware downloads/upgrades but Minelab has been extremely stingy there.
Far as the eTRAC what you see is what you get. The only upgrade would be a new eTRAC-II but don't hold your breath.
