My old SE and EX II would not pick up gold chains. Anyone tested how the etrac does with them and smaller gold??

Sorry I don't do much gold hunting so I can't get you an educated answer. This machine is new and maybe no one got to try it at the beach on those items.

technology that is in the Explorer so I am not expecting it to find anything any smaller than the Explorer was capable of detecting. Hopefully it will prove me wrong and turn out to be more sensitive to small gold and chains.

But even with a small coil it does not like my small 14k rope chain ........but that is fine by me most machines do not like this one either!
