General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Thank you Andrew.-----I had asked that question earlier & it must have been overlooked as I didn't get an answer.-----In any case, the full five years of the warranty transferable to subsequent owners (no matter who owns the detector) is a VERY GOOD warranty! :thumbup:--------------Del
 
Yeah Andrew I wonder what happened to your ad too. But I think you got a lot of good press here with your answers to all the questions and your attitude. I'll buy my next detector from you. Now as far as the other dealers who railroaded you here, they'll never get a cent from me. Just had to open their mouths.
 
I do believe that the moderator that moved this post sent you a note explaining "why" is was being done.

Without making this issue complicated, Kellyco wants everyone to know that our two year extended warranty is Genuine. If your Minelab detector needs any warranty work done during your two year extended warranty, Kellyco will send your detector to Minelab's repair center for any work to be done by a certified Minelab technician with authentic Minelab parts.
 
HI JW------Same question to you-----Is Kellycos 5 year warranty (3yrs from Minelab & 2 yrs. from Kellyco) transferable to subsequent owners?---Full 5 yrs. transferable no matter who owns it?-----I apologize if I should have sent this question via P.M .(instead of on this thread) but think right here would be a good place to have the question answered as many of us would like to know.------------Thanks, Del

J.W. so you are saying that Kelly Co will be sending any detectors that need repairs to Minelab on Kellyco's bill during the extended warranty ? Based on the letter I received as well as you (Kelly CO). I was under the assumption Minelab wants no part in that process. I could be wrong (See Below) Also , based on your warranty certificate on your website it looks as if you are sending it to a third party when your certificate reads "authorized repair center", and since Minelab does not have any repair centers other then the customer care center which is used to service Minelabs own 3 year warranty program. I was curious if you do use a third party or as you said you simply return it to Minelab for repair. There is nothing wrong with that method I am the one that thought if it first and implemented it, It was quickly shot down when Minelab was bombarded with phone calls from other dealers complaining about our warranty. Your business model works offering the 5 years. I did it first but it was shot down by the top. If that's the case I would have never hired engineers . I was told Minelab wants no part of dealers giving Minelab more work. This is not meant as an attack it's just my own personal quest for clarification.

Side NOTE :
The repairs New England Detectors does during the warranty period if needed also extends the warranty by 6 months. So if you have a problem with your detector just at the five year mark, you send it to us we will fix it and you get an additional 6 months coverage on your detector . The reason for this is we guarantee our repair work as well. Just thought I would point that out in case that question were to arise.

I will repeat; all Minelab detectors will be sent to MINELAB'S AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER.
