When I moved in this house 3 years ago, I found a white gold wedding band on top of a shelf, it had been cut off the finger I guess. Since I have not found much gold , I swung it over my coil to check the cursor location and digital #, but it never made a noise at all...I thought huh it must be somekind of plastic or something that feels like metal....I laughed and forgot it, then one day on the forum someone mentioned a ring not registering on detector and then someone said to squeeze ring together and try it.....well I ran to the ring and tryed it...sure enough it detected it once the ring was squeezed together...cool

It has something to do with the flowing eddys...
