Excal II label peeling ...

What is up with the Excalibur II label?
It is peeling up on both my detectors and the battery pod.
I can imagine that in another year or so it will really look bad.

Any fix for this?

Never heard of them peeling b4.. Both at the same time..

Was the machine left in a hot car, truck, etc..

I know you can have them replaced I'm sure you can order them from minelab too...

I had one of the first excaliburs[maybe 18 years ago?] and the corners of decals were not sticking, even the battery decals, still the same way.got it from the big k company before they started trying to care.Initial hot storage might be the cause, gorrilla glue could be a cure?ask for fresh decals,i would like to know.sam in ms

Now on my Excal there are 2 spots where it has bubbled under the decal.. maybe 3/16" in circumference.but it hasn't progressed any..

One of my hunting buddies just had his decals replaced when he had his machine in for service.
If I remember correctly. Minelab charged him $6.00 or something like that to replace..

When my new excal II arrived. the stickers on the battery pod were lifing on both sides all the way down. I just keep pushing them down. In clives book he suggests putting tape on the edge to kinda stop it. I like my excall alot, but it is built with poor attention to detail. My yellow center on one of my knobs fell off. I found it luckily. One of the heat shrinks over the control housing ends up half way up my head phone wire in the surf also. I am not hard on my equipment. I actually get teased for doing the opposite. I baby my equipment in hopes it will last and be trouble free. . my two cents.

I like you baby my machines, my new Excal II had the label peeling off both sides when arrived. Before I ever used it sent back to have re-glued or whatever they do.

I too baby all of my equipment..

I would be so PO'd to open a box and look at my new machine in that state...

Maybe they need a better Quality Control Inspector in Vegas...

Same thing, after 4 months and it's peeling off.
I do not feel good about putting tape on it.
They should use clear plastic for the pods and put the sticker inside.

I suggest let the decal come off and save it. Then buy a few Nascar Decal's and put them on your Detector. Some newbie might see your machine on the beach and ask where you got it. goldnugget-Charlotte,N.C.
