Excal mods

Hi all, this might sound silly, but has anyone tried to put the meter from a sovereign on an excalibur? I'm in the process of modding an old excal I've just bought to use multiple coils and wondered if I can put one in series or whether the circuitry on the excal won't drive it,
Happy Hunting,
Mark

What do you think, Sealed meter, maybe molded into the Upper half of the carbon fiber shaft, all connections, inside of the shaft, sealed in with RTV silicon? or on the handle better...? Waist deep hunting to hightide line....

Meter will take some time so looks like a project for next winter...working on the this...just send it to the press...be about 3 weeks....a upgrade from the old wore out 800 decal, New is UV, and waterproof, good for 3 years they said, will see........if it holds up for the summer, may design a few and sell them...looks like they would go for about 10 dollars each, plus shipping a couple dollars..just want to see if they can handle one summer of sun n salt...........joe

Plus EMI shielding in the works, copper, decal will cover it...
