Excal repair update

I just got a call from Minelab that they had received my Excal II today. Someone named Joe Banner gave me a courtesy call and explained the repair process for the Excal's. He said I should have it back in 45 days total and that I could call him direct for any issues. I am satisfied with the communication from them at this point and am confident that they will meet their timeline (even if I think it's a bit too long). Maybe they'll surprise me and return it sooner. I'll certainly provide updates. Meanwhile I just picked up a CZ-21..............
 
I received my Excal back today, a week earlier then the 45 day timeline I was originally told it would take. Still kinda long to me. According to the paperwork, The o-ring seal and sensitivity pot were replaced and the 2-hole endcap was reassembled. I'm in the middle of a few home projects, but I hope to put it back together and get out to hunt in the next week or so.
 
Thanks for the update, Good Info to know, and I would take 38 days for a repair anytime...if it's the only one needed for several years.......In time I would hope "maybe" they can get the new excals built as well as some of the early models..Got four friends that have got new excal II's, two have to be sent in for repair.......they will be glad to hear this turn around time ...........joe
