excalibur mods

Hi all, this might sound silly, but has anyone tried to put the meter from a sovereign on an excalibur? I'm in the process of modding an old excal I've just bought to use multiple coils and wondered if I can put one in series or whether the circuitry on the excal won't drive it,

This I found out thur some playing...Got one of the sovereign amp's made by shaun...which goes between the coil and the control box of the sovereign,....hooked it up to a older excal, say a 2003? Did not work, a few weeks later tried the other excal, a newer one possibly a 2005/06..it works, used (same), 10 coil on both................................ there are a couple differences in electronic's on the main boards.....

A Great Idea, If you could waterproof it.............maybe next years winter project. Good Luck, keep us up on the mode.............
