Excalibur remote pinpoint switch replacement

Goldquest

New member
Hi Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I have an excalibur fitted with a remote pinpoint switch that I purchased from Joe Beechnut and its been wonderful but lately it has worn out and I need to rep.ace the switch, I have contacted Joe but he does not supply them anymore and was wondering where I could buy the newer yellow pushbutton waterproof switches from, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lately those yellow push button switch's (purchased) have been poor quality but I have found another I'm testing. So far after 4 hunts it seems to be ok.

I will list both the yellow and the new one I had someone suggest over on another forum.

Are you using push button or toggle for your detectors? I have an old sword model that I got many years ago already modified from Mel Parker that has a push button. I much prefer a toggle switch.

Myself ... I use both on my Excals, but I do like the push button the best. Except the last few orders of the yellow cap push buttons ones I used ........ everyone of them have failed after a few hunts. Very poor quality. So I bought two of the switchcrafts and so far both are still working correct..

The reason I like the push button better ... For me I found toggling back and forth took more effort when in the places I use the excalibur. Push buttons was quicker.

For me, holding the push button down while exploring a target, in particular when I have gloves on, is not something I liked to do. A quick flick of the switch, either way, is what I prefer.
Cheers! And hope you are getting some quality detecting time in as well as time with the grandkids!
