Exchange 2 Install Issue

Installed Exchange 2 and it doesnt run on my windows 7 machine.

It worked on this machine back when I had windows XP on it.

I installed the newest updated version did not work then tried to install the original disk version that came with detector still wont work.

So I went back and installed the newest version off minelabs site.

I updated Java.

I turned off Antivirus and Firewall.

Still doesn't work.

I read some past history on this Exchange 2 program and seems to have had alot of issues.

Any ideas?

Loaded it on my laptop with windows 8.1 and it works.
Finally figured out how to use the software its was a little tricky.

What does "doesn't work" mean? Is there an error message? You click on the icon and it never opens?

Click on icon and never starts but seems to try to do something but then it doesn't open

Try turning off the antivirus and run it again.

The exact issue isn't mentioned below, but it has to do with av causing issues

GKMAN thanks for the help none of that worked.

It does run in the windows 7 safemode with networking enabled.

I am still trying things.

I havent heard from Minelab as I sent them an email.

I guess they are busy people.

Hopefully busy improving their software.

Curious, I have some ideas I would try if it was in front of me.. If Minelab lags in a response let me know if you would like to hear them.

Got it to work by reinstalling windows 7 on my machine. Now exchange 2 works.
