Explorer XS 1 just turns off by itself ? Anone ever have this happen?

Hello,

I had that problem with my Quattro. Not sure if the battery connection is the same as EXP or not, but turned-out to be a "not so good" connection from the spring terminals to the battery terminals. I could get the best view of the spring terminals using a small mirror reflecting sun light. One of the spring terminals did not quite line-up (bent a little to the side) which I assume was just barely touching the battery terminal causing a high resistive path. Probably was not a good idea since it was under warranty, but I reached in with a long narrow screw driver and pressed the spring back over "in-line". It solved the problem! Perhaps you could take a look (if EXP is the same) and if it appears same problem call Minelab and see what they say.(?)

yes, that started happening to me once when the rechargeable battery wasn't fully charged. It didnt look low, and it didnt give me any warnings, just shut down. I recharged it and its been fine ever since.

Mike from Mi warned me about that... Be careful not to drop the pack in when replacing it as it will bend the springs.
