F 75 Trigger

Coin Rescue Inc

Well-known member

When I sent my unit in for the upgrade I had a bare metal
Trigger. The unit was returned with a black tipped trigger. So I assume the trigger was replaced along with a new display panel.
I noticed this week the trigger seems shorter. Inspection shows the black rubber tip is gone and the trigger seems shorter and hollow. There seems to be something sticking out of the hollow end. Looks and feels like wood.
Anyone else have anything like this happening?
I use my detector almost daily so I guess I wore it out.

I lost the rubber cushion off of my first 75 pretty quick and even though I found it and put it back on , eventually it worked it's way off and into the land of never to be seen again. My guess is you are seeing the remnants of whatever was used to glue the cushion in place at the switch manufacturer. You can probably make one out of some shrink wrap for electrical connections.

I would guess, a quick call to Fisher about its loss and a black tip replacement will be sent to you same day. HH jim tn

New triggers are shorter.......... Used to be long and some broke off due to the length..and improvement I would say using the shirt trigger,,

They replaced mine with a shorter trigger (actually I think they swapped out the whole grip and display head)

Have not seen the "guts".

You could go to a hardware store and get a vinyl thread protector.
