Hi as some of you may know, I started with an F2 and two coils, the 4 and 8 inch. I sold it and moved on to and F5. My mistake. The F5 is a more capable machine but for my hunting style I had to buy another F2. This time I went three coils with the addition of the 10 inch. This in MHO is a great combo and great value for money. The 10 inch is great for the open areas of parks as it it more harmonious with my stride distance. Two sweeps per pace as opposed to three sweeps per stride. Keeps me nice and balanced. Even if this 10" coil was no deeper I would still use it on oven fields but I hear it's slightly deeper. As soon as I get closer to the spectator edge of fields I swap to the 8" and when it gets trashy I slip the 4 inch on. The ability of this machine to pinpoint to a penny sized area or smaller is incredible. The F5 may be better for old deep silver but there is not too much of that about in Australia.
