hi all!!
so i finally got my f5 today!! wooop wooop!!! i have got my self alot to learn about the machine ....... ive read what i can about it but when it came to actually using it i forgot everything!!.... masses of feed back what ever i did and it was farting left right and center even with the thresh right down low....... gonna be a long learning curve for me i think as im completely new to detecting!..... but......... i finally found my first silver!! a 1931 george v silver six pence! and also a rather large silver plated coin that im yet to identify! so all in all im well chuffed!!! proper job!

thanx mud!! the other coin turned out to be a 1700s French king Louis xv ECU...... and supposedly its not plated!!! really happy with such an old find on my first day with the detector ..... by far my oldest coin!! heres a few pics if anyones interested..
