F70 or F75

Is there that much of a difference?
thinking of getting one or the other but maybe the 75 is a much better cherry picker
David
alsoshould I go for the Se over the LTD or what ever?

F70 is the "little brother". The F 75 is the "class" of the Fisher line. I've had both. F 70 is a fine machine, but not as powerful as the F75. I do a lot of relic hunting and the F 70 can't keep up with the F 75 for deep relics. If you are only a coin hunter, you may not need all that horse power. The F70 is lighter and will be easier to swing for a whole day of hunting. I think the SE is today's version. Not sure the LTD is any longer available. Had both and can't see any difference performance wise. That's my two cents worth.

keep on diggin'

Jimmy about summed it up. The 75SE has boost process which is a big plus. I'd say get the 75SE with the 11" DD coil. If budget allows, get the 5" coil for unmasking in iron.

LTD Is Cameo Colored. Se is All Black.......... Functions are the same.... The LTD unless a dealer has"new" (Old stock) isn't available as far as I know.

If you buy used ............These would be available from dealer trade ins, private owners, etc.

F75 Anniversary Edition............. Standard Unit
F75 LTD .......... Cameo Colored with two extra modes BP and Cache mode
F75 SE ( Special Edition) All Black body with Bp mode and Cache mode...... operates the same as the LTD .......

Fisher offers 5" DD coil .6.5 " Elliptical ( Football Coil), and 11DD Coil.........Also available is a 10" Concentric coil.

My opinion on your question..Which one should you get.. Buy the f75.Why..because your not sure which you want, and if you buy the lesser F70 you will always wonder, and think your missing out on the Deeper/Better model F75SE. That said both work great.deep seekers and very comfortable detectors configured in a slightly different way. Myself I like the F75 configuration much better than the F70.........

Thanks for the info
I just ordered the F75 LTD-now I have to wait to get it. but in the meantime I can get some settings info on it

That would be preset for the first few weeks of detecting... learn what it is telling you before you venture to far off Pre-set turn on settings..

I just bought the F75 LTD and they told me it was black

here look at the pic

Learn something new every day.which is a good thing........... Must have been a release between the Camo and the SE Edition...........

Thanks for setting me straight........... I'll be more careful with my posts in the future for accuracy....

One other possible thing is ..LTD Black was a release in recent past and I didn't know about it at all... looking at Fisher web page sorta confirms this as they list the LTD Black............ I just noticed T2 LTD Black model is now listed on Tek web page too..HMMMMMMMMMMM

This is what I based my inaccurate knowledge on........... Still listed as the detector being sold on a well known dealers sight
Fisher F75 Special Edition LTD-BLK Metal Detector
with 11" DD & 5" DD Search Coils Plus FREE Metal Detecting & Treasure Hunting Accessories

I had to go with them -they made an error on the sale of my minelab SE Pro and I didn't even notice it.
I had it for about a week and someone pointed it is the minelab Se but not the Se pro as stated in the Ad. Anyway there was no questions asked and the sent ups truck to pick it up and would refund my money as soon as they got it back and even gave me a $50 credit card for the problem.I had no detector and was thinking along the lines of the F70 or 75 and figured for once I want to buy the upper end detector s new- I have seen the camo versions and didn't care for it but I liked the black LTD and he said the LTD was black so I ordered it.

Elton gave you some great advice on using the factory default settings. You are getting a good machine and hunt in fields for awhile where there are no trees.:detecting::fisher:

Well that opportunity is gone.
they just called and said they thought they had the black one in the warehouse but it is not the black one (which was sold the day before) but not updated on the store computer-etc-etc. so I said forget it.
Big Boy Hobbies gave me the best offer but I was more or less stuck with the other guy because he Owed me $710.
I told him forget about it and just refund my acct when they get their detector back.
Now my Pay Pal acct will look great. If I want I can get an Etrac if i want but I won't
I have no detector right now and I guess I will start my search again for a medium middle of the road used detector like the golden or something like that.

The answer is much more simple.

-Both the F70 and F75 run on the same frequency.

-The F75 has more features but both go the same depth.

-Both the F70 and F75 use the same interchangeable coils.

-The features of the F75 make it easier to Identify targets, and the trigger on the F75 is a great feature.

--I chose the F70 because I'm willing to do a little more digging. The more digging you do, the more you find!! Also its cheaper. :)

There is a black LTD Model being made and called F75LTD on a limited run........ Rick at Fisher assured me the SE and LTD Black are one and the same detector.... It is just a limited run because the demand for The SE was strong when they stopped that Limited run.. So both detectors are black..both detectors have the Bp and CL modes and they function exactly the same....

In fact I just got a New Fisher F75 ........ The decal on Arm Rest says Special Edition..It is all black.. I am not sure what the Decal says on what is now being called the F75 LTD Black "Limited Edition"........If you look real close at Fisher web page LTD Pic it says Special Edition on the arm rest decal..

It doesn't matter they are identical in modes and operation.... Per Rick in customer service at Fisher Labs in Texas..

Best advice.:clapping::fisher:

Acording to the field test by Mark Ellington, coil per coil the F70 will go a little deeper than the F75. But the F75 has more bvells and whistles....Jack
