F70 theshold setting ?

I recently picked up a used F70 without a instruction manual. I have it figured out OK, except for the threshold setting. What is the best setting on threshold and why ?
 
cant answer your question outright. But I ve always found downloadable manuals for the more recent F series on line. CO
 
Usually people set threshhold to barely audible so they can hear the slightest (deep target whisper) fluctuation in the threshold tone. You can download the manual at...www.fisherlab.com/hobby/manuals/F70Manual-reader.pdf
 
set the threshold at -3 start there you will notice if you turn it up your machine will chatter more. what coil do you have, stock coil run sense around 70 to 75 dd coil around 65 ground grab every few minutes. on the beach i like at mode threshold - 1 to -3 sense 30 for ocean beches around 40 freshwater beaches good luck hh
