Im trying to figure out if their is a way in All metal mode to use 2 or 3 tones? I tried setting 2 tones and then going to all metal but everything is still sounding the same. Thanks in advance
 
No tone ID in all metal mode, just VCO. But still a great function to use when there is little trash. I've went back and hunted an area in AM mode and found many deeper non-ferous targets that the discrimination mode had missed. Try something, pick out a 20 x 20 area and clean it out the best you can in discrimination mode then switch to AM.

..I set my F70 on 1 disc just to get the tones to operate. Must be some good technical reason, or it would be tone capable in AM.

Mud is right. If one hunts in disc under 5, very little depth is lost and then you can use all the tones. HH jim tn
