F75 noisey

If there is any kind of emi around, minor or heavy, both my LTD and Omega will chatter pretty good with aiming the coil straight out or up in the air, or even just setting it down to dig a target. However, when scanning the ground the chatter ceases. HH jim tn

I'm with Julien on where to send it, unless KC is going to replace the entire package. HH jim tn

+1 with jbow and Jim. I may be mistaken, however, I think Kellyco will exchange a defective device within 30 days. I would give them a call and verify. I recieved a defective headset and they sent a replacement the same day I called them.

That was headphones they won't send the detector till they get mine back and check it out, they were supposed to email me a call tag Friday but they never did.

Its not only chatter TID and the numbers go crazy, had to put the phone to the speak so Fisher could hear it also did that for the guy from kellyCo. I have done everything and any thing people all you guys are awesome with the help I think it was you who said the coil might be bad? I'm thinking that to.

Fisher told me to call KellyCo first, I did he heard the noise over the phone and said to send it in and it would take about 2 days for them to check it out, I told them check what you want but I want it replaced not some test fix, and I told I wanted a call tag and they agree to email me one friday but they never did.

I'm sorry... i've been wanting to say that for two days. Of course I am kidding, they are all noisy (or they can be) but what this one is doing isn't right.

It reminds me of when I first got my T2. They had just come out and I signed up for a hunt where there are teams and everyone uses a ceratin brand of detector. I was on the Bounty Hunter team and of course FTP wanted everyone to have a chance to use the new T2 and show it off. I got a good deal on it and was excited to have it. Of course I had heard all the stories of how noisy it could be so I was prepared for a noisy detector and I was not disappointed it was noisy as all get out... I used it for about three weeks and I found some good stuff with it but dang... it was noisy. I finally called FTP and got someone from support on the line. The first thing he said was "wiggle the connector"... I did and it went nuts. I had hunted for three weeks with a loose connector. I tightened it up and it was like day and night. It was still a little noisy but after those first three weeks it was like hunting in silent search mode!

Anyway... I hope you get this figured out, I know how it is to have a machine that just don't seem to be right.

...but a noisy F75... who would have ever imagined that? laff...

If you DO have a bad 11" coil, then replacing it with the 5" should stabilize your machine. If it still acts the same with a different coil, then there is problem with the machine.

Did just that, put the 5" on and it worked awesome heres the finds for 3hrs with the 5 " coil. Fisher said send the whole package back to KellyCo for a replacement. I'm pretty its the 11' coil cause I put it back on and it went nuts again, but I told KC I wanted a new unit since its only 7 days old, she said she doesn't know what they are going to do. Made them give me a call tag and just finished UPSing it.
