Factory Stock Search Modes

Everyone has been using the CTX 3030 now for a while and gotten a better feel for it.

We talk alot about New Modes or Custom Modes.

Whats everyones insight into the Stock Factory Modes?

Did Minelab and their gurus do a good job on those standard modes?

I would read about guys and the ETrac that some guys would just use the stock Modes and still have lots of good luck so they never ventured off into the cust modes.

Plus any insights into the Factory Stock modes would be good for the Newbies that look around alot of them most likely dont post much But I think
we could say there are lots of people viewing that we dont know about.

The stock modes are fine for learning the machine, but they will hamper you once you try to become proficient.

I never used mine past turning on the machine and determining that it was functioning properly. I then downloaded them into Xchange2 --> hard drive and built up my own patterns/settings based on what I had learned in my prepurchase research.

They are fine to start with, but if you have a copy of Andy's book, you would be much better served to build your own from that source. You want to tailor your machine to YOUR ground, not some norm in Australia/Chicago/wherever.
