Fake T2?

Hey all. I have a great detecting site that my Uncle and I have pulled a lot of good coins out of. 40+ silver, 100+ wheats, etc. One part of this site is really bad with iron. I was using a Fisher CZ70 Pro but I could tell that it was struggling in the iron, so I sold it and bought a T2 SE.

I was so excited to find one for a cheap price that I bought it. I paid 450 from a well known poster on another forum. But after my initial happiness faded I started to do some research and saw that the green T2 was faked.

Has anyone heard of the T2 SE being faked?

I trust the guy is doing right by me, but now am worried nonetheless. It will be here tomorrow either way.
 
Yes First Texas is tackling the counterfeit problem head on. There is a youtube video you can look at to help assist in seeing if yours is fake. But if you bought from a well known forum member I highly doubt it is fake and $450 is a decent price for a good condition and working T2. You should be fine.

Ok, thanks, I saw that video, I could not believe my eyes, it was like the rod was made of rubber.
 
If it looks like this, it's a fake. Some bandits are silk screening T2 in place of GF2.

Call first texas.Give them the serial number. In minutes you will know if it is real.I'm betting it is..A well known poster usually would never cheat someone. At $450 for a used T2 your about right on the price.In fact he gave you a pretty good deal........ their usually a little higher than that.. Now I do want to point out something if Your T2 is green it's the first edition T2..not the Se model with boost.That will be Black.
Or are you just using the Green T2 as a reference for fakes ?? And your getting a black T2 SE.........
 
I've not heard of a fake T2 SE. It's the green ones you have to be careful with.
 
Yeah I am getting the black T2 SE. I was just worried that they made a fake SE as well. Thanks gang.
 
You can have a green T2 SE I have one it is real and it was updated to the new DST version with boost extra tones and FA(fast audio).
