Fall hunt report and LOTS of finds from MASS. :clapping:

Just now got a chance to post my finds from the past weekend and at the fall hunt. First of all, a big thanks to Bob-NH for his effort in putting on a great hunt. The finds were slim, but it was a great day to enjoy the scenery, meet fellow detectorists from the forums, and hunt for some old finds. I managed a canadian penny and a wheatie was all. I did get 2 tokens good for a franklin half each, so I didn't leave without something good.

I hunted around with Guvner, Golddigger, Tom-WI, and Ted from St. Louis the day before and after at several parks around Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. Goldigger killed us on coppers! I found quantities of newer silver and indians, plus a few surprises. The pic below is most of my goodies from the trip... I managed 20 pieces of silver, 26 indians, 3 coppers, a 2 cent piece and a silver 3 cent piece.

The coppers were 2 1819 large cents, an 1841 Webster hard Times Token. 1864 2 center, 1853 3 center, 5 barber dimes, 10 mercs, 1 washington quarter, a silver thimble, cufflink, and religious metal - not pictured. The indians included some better dates - 1865, 1867, 1868, 1873. an aluminum token "P. CASCELLA 6", a put-and-take spinner, and what looks like a british naval button.

Great meeting up with everyone and I'll try and make the next hunt. HH, Mike.

Congrats on a great trip. A silver 3 center is near the top of my list of coins I want to find. Awesome job.

Now that's a HAUL! Those finds sure look great and I could only imagine the excitement of digging some of them Older Coins that I don't find up here. When you get out Mike, you really rake in the good finds that's for sure. Hope you get out again and bring in another load like that. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.

thanx Mike, hope you give it one more chance. The spring hunt will be better.
Nice finds.

I also just returned from Mass - your LC sure does look better than the one I pulled out. Plus you seem to have found older coins on average.
But as you said - it sure is fun when you hack around with good company.

You always seem to post at least twenty nice finds... So, what is the most contributing factor to your success?

Is it that you put in lots of hours? I know you use the best equipment and know the machine. Is it maybe that you move on when the finding gets slim? Maybe you carry around an Ouija board?

Help an old guy out, har har.

Congratulations on the great finds and what sounds like a fun trip.
