FBS and VLF

For those who believe FBS and VLF are different, yes they have two different definitions but the E-trac, SE, Safari, etc., are VLF machines. Just wanted to clarify.
Have a good day.

Also, I had an informative conversation with a Minelab tech. For those that want to know or don't already know. The E-trac has a faster processor than the SE which has a faster processor than the Safari. Nice guy.

i thought the e-trac is a FBS?

Just becuase it processes multiple signals doesn't mean it's NOT a VLF machine.

There has been a lot of discussion on the truth behind the FBS technology. Just gotta search it out.

I really don't care HOW it works, I just know that when it comes to silver , it kills. <cough> 1 KH <cough>

"Multi-frequency transmitting and receiving metal detectors have a significant advantage in time constant discrimination, and to some extent ferrous discrimination capability, over the most common form of detector, the VLF detector.

Anybody want to bring an oscilloscope by my house? I bet we can figure this out once and for all.

looks like you are Re-hashing everything we went over with you alrdy.I think Barnacle bills post explains it all..Go read the Link.We told you the processor was faster than the SE and the safari .If you wanna believe they are simple VLF machines ,feel free. But you come across like your bored and looking to argue with anyone who will listen.Call Bruce candy and tellem he doesnt know what hes talking about.

I always thought VLF referred to using 3khz to 30khz. Since the FBS ranges from 1khz to 100khz, would that make it a ULF, VLF and LF detector? LOL

I'm not re-hashing anything. Someone asked about the safari and E-trac on the safari forum so I wrote what I was told from minelab. I spoke with a tech at minelab because I am considering buying an E-trac and wanted the real specs. I was harmlessly relaying what I was told and I was not looking for an argument. So just off my back!
Finally, someone posted some tangible information about the detectors.

"The E-TRAC is Minelab's most technologically advanced detector incorporating unique Full Band Spectrum (FBS) technology" This is quoted from the Minelab website in their description of the E Trac.
