Another Beautiful (48 degrees with Wind) Day and the soil is soft, diggable and NOT muddy
Brian went right to the area I found my 1902 Barber Quarter yesterday and in no time at all found a 1926 Merc and a 1951 Rosey.
I found the 1943s War Nickel and the fried Buffalo Nickel ( what a surprise, only my second Buffalo Nickel ever found).
We also found 35 Wheat's and a 1947 Canadian, the Wheat's are from 1916 through 1956.
I also included the bent up ring I found and it is clear it is NOT GOLD.

Thanks for viewing

Nice, the buffs here are toasted like that as well.

Here are photos of the first Buffalo Nickel I found
It was found in the first months I started detecting and I did not even know what it was
As you can see, it is not Fried and is in fact in beautiful shape if I say so myself

Just proves it is a matter of luck and where you are

Regards

I can't believe you found 35 wheats! 15 more and ya got yourself a roll. Congratulations on the excellent hunt.

Congrats on the finds.....I swear....those war nickels will be the death of me. I've yet to find one, but am always looking. Great hunt!!

Wtg on the silver.. dang that's a lot wheat's... congrats!!!

Very nice Eva a lot of wheats and other goodies always makes a good hunt!

Good Job Eva and nice silvers. Really nice Buffalo you found as a first find. To be remembered. Did you hit anything deep?

Albert

Jealous I am. No snow to speak of here but the ground is frozen so hard can't even get a ice pick into it. Since the buffalo is fried put it in a mixture of vinegar and salt, sometimes a faint date will show then. Don't leave it in that solution long.

Thank You for All Your Nice Comments

The deepest coin I ever found was my 1907 Barber Half
When I found it I knew it was over 12 inches but I had not brought a measuring thingy and no one
ever believed how deep it was (before my ET)

The coins I remember most are my only 1876 Seated Dime, first Barber Dime 1916, only 1902 Barber Quarter, only 1907 Barber Half and first 1810 Large Cent.

It is funny how certain moments stay with us and I hope you all have and get more of those moments Too!
