Finds from a military base dating pre WWl

Mike(MI), Shawano, Tim(LaPorte), Steve(Indy) and I got permission to hunt an old military base in Indiana. It was pretty fun digging all this stuff!
What amazed us was a couple of large cents turned up! Steve dug an 1845 that is beautiful and Shawano dug a good 1836. Must have been
something there before the base opened. My best find of the day was the 23rd Infantry collar device that was intact. I dug 2 others with the numbers
missing. Got 5 indians from the 1880s and 1890s and the 1903 Barber dime.

Wow! That my friend is an awesome day! Hold on to that stuff as Indian wars through WW1 stuff will be the next Civil War type mania as all that stuff gets older and the CW stuff thins out.
