First 13 days finds w/ new E-Trac

My new E-Trac (13 days old) produced these finds plus about $12 in clad coins.
Nothing remarkable here. The ring does not contain a diamond, but this particular
park has groups of metal detector people that hunt here 3 times a week according
to the 'Parks' personnel.
Evidently they missed a few finds. Yea E-Trac!

It's very nice start for sure HHGL

Wow I need to get out more! How many hunts? 1?

That is a great start...congrats
as u can see ET's love silver
and the coil is very sensitive
well done

I am impressed:clapping:. Care to share your settings?

digmeahole,

About 5 hunts.

Thanks everybody for your nice comments! I find it easier to use then I thought I would. The best detector
I've ever owned and I have owned about 5 different detectors
I'm keeping my Safari for a great back-up machine.
As I mentioned above, I'm finding 'good finds' that other lower quality detectors missed.

I want to thank 'Andy Sabisch' and his wonderful book "The Minelab-Explorer & E-Trac Handbook" which
made me decide on buying my new E-Trac detector.
Anybody who is contemplating buying or owns an E-Trac should read his book. Great information to digest.

Very nice finds - you sure are off to a great start - good luck this season !

Great job Reltolbert, looks like you are getting the hang of it! Looking forward to seeing more of your finds!
HH,

Your catching up to me!

The small silver ring and the silver dime were found about 10" deep (deeper than my Garrett Pro Pointer's length) in dirt with a lot of iron nearby.
I got lucky because I'm still a novice with this new E-Trac. What I do when I go to a park or the beach
is methodically swing my coil so that I don't miss anything. If it's a large park, then I will detect a small section
at a time and come back again and do another section until I have covered every square foot of ground.
I would suppose that most members here on this forum will do the same thing. I would hate to think I missed
a good find because I skipped a section of ground.

That is fantastic. Congrats. I am still learning mine and will look into that configuration.
