first 2 weeks photos

Well it's been 2 weeks since I began this hobby. So with no experience and a new E-Trac I set out to find my fortune. Below is the result of the first 2 weeks of detecting. The first photo shows the results from a private park site with maybe 10 hours total.
First Row: left to right unknown maybe Indian Head, 3 Jefferson's
Second Row: Indian Head 1904, 2 wheat's and 6 clad dimes
Third Row: Pearl Button in brass, silver charm, leaf charm and 6 clad quarters
Fourth Row: 4 stacks of memorials, 9mm bullet, 9mm casing, 40 S&W casing and a 22 casing

The second picture is about 6 hours at a 110 year old site. The site had a hotel on it that burned in 1909 and a few summer cottages that are still standing. Lots of trash and a lot more learning but I found a few goodies and I'm going back until it snows.
First row: Antique light pull chain, Hotel had a generator
Second Row: unknown, New York City transit token and 2 memorials
Third Row: lead slate roof bracket, knob wire connector and some kind of tack (tons of these and they show at 12-45

I'm happy for being new at this, now onto some silver!

Looks good, looks like your learning. I just received an Etrac last Thursday and hope to play this week with it.

Nice finds indeed! Thanks for the pictures and the run-down on the "lesser" know items. Good ID'ing!!!

You are definitely on the right track. Dig everything and try to remember the sounds, target position on the screen and numbers. Be sure to dig anything that the sound repeats that is deep, it will usually be old.

Dan, Looks like your are getting the hang of the E Trac real well. I'm sure the silver will come shortly. Dig the weaker, deep signals---thats where the best stuff usually is.

What you found is a roofing nail . . . . . real common around older houses here and they drive you nuts and of course you are afarid of not digging one

Very - very nice - keep up the good work !
