First 2000 year old Celtic unit for my CTX.

Dino - UK

New member
Out today on a new permission that I had researched and thought there had been a Celtic presence and was rewarded with this Iceni siver unit, Boar/Horse type of probably mid 1st century.

This is the first Celtic to fall to my Minelab CTX3030. It came in at 12-07.

For the book worms, it is listed as 431 in Spink coins of England and 3440-3512 in BMC.

a big congratulations to you! I hope you find many more.

That's a beauty. I only dream of finding something as pretty as that. Here, I am very lucky to find coins from the late 1700's. I would probably soil myself if I dug something like that.....
Happy hunting and I look forward to seeing more of your posts as the year progresses.
