First 2017 Find!

Got out of work yesterday morning and while driving home spotted a utilities crew digging up the sidewalks installing a gas line. Winter has been in full effect here in West Michigan for the last couple of months now, so when I saw this chance to get out the detector I jumped on it. Ran home and got the beeper and put the coil to the ground. Pulled these 2 gems out along with some clad change. Will be working this site over the next couple of weeks while they install the new gas main. Great way to start the 2017 season!

Went back to the construction site today and found 2 more Indians. They are a little rough but I will take em.

Nicely done. This hobby certainly shows that the opportunist and his/her timing are critical when these sites become available. I started carrying my detector in the car almost year 'round now.

Yes, I also carry my V3i in the back seat of my truck everywhere I go in the summer. I was caught off guard this winter by the utility work and I didn't have it with me. But now I do!
