did some learning on se hit a ball field and a old school house.man when this machine says 3 28 with that sweet sound you know its a silver dime its dangerous on wheaties too picked up a nice silver necklace didnt read as silver but it was solid hit so i dug it
 
The more you use the SE, the better it seems to
do on finding the silver coins and jewelery....GL

How deep was the dime, do you recall? I notice that those numbers can vary on the ferrous side, when deep coins are detected, especially among nails. I find my self using digital less and smart find more. Sometimes the cursor will lock in the sweet spot in pinpoint and sometimes on deeper coins it will bounce back and forth between the left upper and right upper part of the screen. That bouncing will make me dig that deep target. I also get wheaties and clad dimes reading 03-28. The sounds are what i listen for mostly now and then try to use the ID forms to kind of get some assurance it`s worth digging. I`m still getting fooled by the rotten bent nails some. I`ve read several of your posts and I think we got our machines at a similar time.
