First E-Trac Silver

I took my kids to the park so that they could play for about an hour.....what else is a dad to do? I decided to do a bit of hunting. I had done a marathon hunt the day before and only got clad. I had hunted for about an hour and found some clad and was on my way to the jeep. I got a pretty iffy signal about 20 feet from my jeep. I switched over to quick mask and was getting a 35-44 but also got 12-43 a few times too at about 4 inches, so I decided that was enough for me and dug. I found a 1941 Merc in pretty good shape. It was in a hole with a piece of rusty nail. I'm still learning my E-Trac, although I think I'm somewhat a professional nickel digger now...lol, I can tell with a 90% certainty if it is a nickel before I dig it. Finding my first silver gives me a bit of confidence, hopefully there is more to come. I'm at 10 silvers since starting in May, but this one is special because it is my first E-Trac silver.

Get ready for more the etrac is a silver killer

Congrats on your first silver with the E-trac, that merc is in good shape. -- Randy

I think from your nickel finding success that you are hunting places that have been cherry picked hard for silver.Once you get the knack of picking silver out of the iron like you just did I predict we will be seeing you post more silver the cherry pickers missed

Ray-Mo....you couldn't be more right! I found two more silver Mercs today in with nails. Only was out for about 1.5hrs too! I'm getting the knack of pulling the silver from the iron. I've yet to find a silver without iron around it...lol. Can't wait to hear one by itself.

Mercs came in at 12-43 12-44...but had iron so with quick mask was also getting 34-45 34-46
