First EVER GOLD..Silver~ Copper~ Fatty injun~ token~ relics~

what can I say this week has been absolutely amazing for me, I cannot remember a better week in the last three years of detecting.

I met up with my buddy DiggerDan and we went to an abandoned farm house we had permission for, First dig was the toasted buffalo. Then a wheat, then it seemed there was no high tones anywhere, so I focused on low tones. If I have time I dig everything above iron at old farm houses anyway

next find I get is a 12-17, turned out to be a Silver war nickel. Few more minutes go by and I get a 4" deep solid 12-24 from both directions. NORMALLY a pulltab, but I dig them at houses anyway since there isn't that many at old farms anyhow. To my surprise it was a 1863 fatty injun! My second one and I just found my first the day before!!!!!!!

Like I said before I ALWAYS dig pulltabs at old houses hoping for a ring, and when I get home I throw them in a bucket and said I would save them until I dug gold.........well here is my pile of pulltabs. It took this many pulltabs from old houses till I got my first gold........do you think it was worth it????

and here is my prize........1939 class ring. There is only a year on it, no school name, or identifying marks. So looks like it is all mine to keep. This came in a solid 14-17 from both directions on the etrac. My buddy said he would never dig a signal like that...lol. When I told him the numbers the fatty injun and gold came in at he said he needs to start checking them numbers out.

after that we went back to my bean field I have been hitting last couple days, found 2 complete crotal bells, one broken one, old key, token that says good for 3 and a third cents in trade, and a worn out Canadian large cent. This field has been good to me!

Congrats Terry! Way to go on your first gold and other goodies, HH

Congratulations on all the goodies, fantastic finds :surprised: Theres got to be more out there Terry, keep digging

Goes4ever, Great finds!!!!! Now I know why I don't find many rings. That is a large pile of pull tabs to find one ring. I dug one class ring by accident. It was in the hole with a wheat. The other class ring came in like a screw cap and since I wasn't finding anything, I dug it.

Good one Terry :wiggle:

Just goes to show us all that patience and persistance is the key.
Down under, pull tabs can be recycled for their titanium...made in the use of artificial limbs etc.
Very nice looking gold ring.
Hope your next few weeks is as good

both of the larger intact ones were 12-46, and the broken one came in at 12-30 something

SUPER finds! Congrats on your second fatty and the gold ring.
