first hunt of the spring

still looking 52

Well-known member
My two brothers and I went out for our 1st spring hunt in the silver den yesterday , we hunted for about 4 hours and only found one silver dime, 1927 date in almost new condition. We all agreed it looks like we are going to have to find another spot. It looks like we've dug all the silver.

He had to do that LoL!
Out of the three of us brother Julio (SL52) found the only piece of silver.
He's using an F5,
I had my Omega, and
Ron had is F75 with the NEL sharpshooter coil. I didn't find ONE coin! I think Ron found two modern coins.
So, 4 hours of three people hunting didn't turn up much for sure.
The Den as we call this place is not the easiest place to hunt and its for sure the oddest place to hunt.

I would say by the condition of that dime is was dropped real early in its life.

Congrats SL52 on your first picture upload!

Yes, that is an excellent find. I hunted a park Saturday and Sunday. Dug 40 clad's but no silver.
so my new motto is

"Clad Happens"

Congrats from big brother on the first silver of the year, also the last dime of the den, and posting your first picture.

I am sure we will see some more pictures of his silver, if you look at his avatar that is his silver for last year. I think I created a silver monster when I sold him that F5.

That is a fresh coin!:clapping:

Well, maybe you fellers will have to make a roadtrip up into Ohio! Or heck, come on up here to the West Coast of MI and do some big beach sweeping this Summer! Y'all can stay right here at Muds and help me wipe this area out.!.

She was only about 3 inches down but laying on her side, usually my pinpointing is pretty accurate but after taking a 4 inch round plug, my handheld pinpointer went off just to the outside of the plug.love finding that silver!
