first hunt with my new SE and new 10x12 SEF coil at an old farm

Hi everyone, only 3 old finds today. and i do/don't like the new 10x12 SEF coil, but for the most part i like it. i do like that it finds the deep stuff in the trash, BUT i don't like how far back it comes back to my feet. i had to extend the lower rod so my boots weren't setting it off, no big deal. had a bit of a hard time pinpointing with it to start with also, but i learned quick and i started to like the coil. i think it will become my main coil on the SE. as for the my old Explorer II i like the SE more that's my personal opinion i guess. just like that the SE gives me feedback a little quicker than the Explorer II. plus i like the black over tanish color, which doesn't really matter i just think it looks cooler. the wheat is a '34.

Very cool trade token.

Thanks for posting it.

Neat token! I tried to find it on the website www.tokencatalog.com and it is listed but the location is unknown. Most of the tokens I find usually come from the area they were found (but not always!) and that's were I first start when trying to attribute maverick tokens. If you have access to city directories (libraries or historical societies), you may be able to find the city this piece is from. Sounds like a bar or possibly a beverage store. I'd guess it to be from the 1900-1920, but that is just a guess. Happy Hunting!

I agree AwesomeToken.

How do you pinpoint with it, Weston? "Wiggle" or pinpoint function?
i actually use both. i use the pinpoint button, pinpoint it. then once i think i have it pretty well pinpointed i give the coil a little "wiggle". that way im positive i have it pinpointed correctly
