I hunted about 3 hours or so today with the 10 X 12 SEF. Hey, great coil. It was like using another detector when it comes to pinpointing. I didnt even have to use pinpoint... just move it to the front tip and it was there. The area i hunted was really tore up and trashy, but a good challenge. I found over $5 in clad.... a LOT of pennies and one Barber quarter, 1907. The coil seperated pretty darn well i didnt feel like i was missing many targets that were passing under the coil. I tried hunting with a pattern and with nails and crown caps disc out. When i had the nails and caps disc the machine nulled very little and was very stable with little to no noise or falsing. Pretty amazing since there were a lot of underground lines both electric and water not to mention a constant flow of traffic right beside me. It did seem to affect the depth thou since i was in auto sensitivity 28. Most of the stuff was say 3 or 4 inches.... except the barber it was about 7" down. When i used the pattern it nulled alot but i was still picking up good targets. The depth gage wasnt worth too much, but you could tell by the sound even with the gain on 9 which were surface coins. Ive not used the pro coil, but this coil is a welcome improvement over the slimline. I also noticed when in Cond sounds the dimes were easier to distinguish from pennies than in Ferr sounds. Hope this helps someone. HH
