First hunt with the f19

2 Much Trash

Well-known member
Took the f19 out yesterday for the first time. Went to an area that's never produced a lot of finds, even got skunked a few times, but it's a very pleasant place to hunt and I just know there's a hot spot in there somewhere. I hunted in disc mode. 100 sense, 40 v break, volume 13, 0 disc. Stock coil. The machine runs as quiet as a church mouse. Not being use to that I had to keep checking if it was still working. I dug every signal above iron no matter what number it showed. Tone wise this machine is sweet. No matter the depth Brass and lead has a nice smooth rounded response. Aluminum, sharp and abrasive. It's a killer on small targets. I must have dug a handful of 22 lead and casings not surface finds but 3 to 4" down. Trash finds I know, but I missed them on all previous hunts with other machines. I learned pretty fast to love those whisper tones. Hit targets 9 to 10" no problem. Can't wait for next time, I'll pay a little more attention to the numbers display. F19 is a keeper for me.

Looks like a carved minni ball. Good to hear the machine is working. HH

Trash finds. Don't think so. Just think if one of those previously missed nonferrous (junk you call it) would have turned out to be the elusive $1 gold coin.

You will dig small lead but at 47 and up you might miss pewter. Good start.

Nice finds! The 19 is a fun machine to use!
