First hunt with the Omega.

Went to the old home site that has been heavily hunted with my GoldBug DP.
Used the 10" stock coil, and the 5" and 11" DD coils from my GoldBug.
Maybe it was the learning curve, or maybe I just didn't get over any other good targets, but both items were found with the 11" DD coil.
Found my first Indian head nickel and my second token in as many weekends.

Can't read the date on the nickel, yet. Both are soaking in olive oil.

Token says, Acme Clothiers Master of the tape line We give men fits 118 Soledad St. San Antonio
Good for $100 on a new suit.

You didn't mention how deep they were, but that would be your deepest combo: Omega and 11DD. I am very convinced that there is almost always more to be found in just about every location. A different MD/coil combo, different soil moisture or weather, different swing pattern or wild card variable will turn a passed over target. Of course a better MD man or machine will up the odds, but that is not always required. just sayin'
