My machine came today. Bart always ships fast. He doesn't mess around. That's why I do business with him. Upon signing for the package I noticed that the box was somewhat caved in on one end of it. I thought: "Oh my gosh, it'll be broken". But it was not. I put the unit together and stuck a Duracell battery in it. Went outside, turned it on, and immediately realized that I had a sensitive machine in my hands. It's more noisy than the G2, but no at all TOO noisy. It hit all the coins in my test garden,
Ground balancing is easy using the Ground Grab feature. The machine is factory programmed for three tones. Low for iron, mid-tone for nickles and stuff in the intermediate range, and high tone for dimes, copper pennies, quarters etc. The machine is so wonderfully light weight!!! And so well balanced. I think that I did good with my purchase. Time will tell. Saturday morning I'm going to a known Civil War Union camp that I have combed over and over with the Tek G2. Maybe I'll find some additional bullets ans buttons.
I have a 5inch coil on the way to me. Should be here tomorrow. Maybe I can post some good finds real soon with my nice new detetcor, Thanks for reading. Kevin
