My first indian of 2015. It is an 1900 Indian. Found 6 inches down with my 5 inch stock coil Cleaned it off with water and left it alone.

It was a good signal. But I was still shocked to see an Indian. I love them. I have 3 others and this will be a good addition to my collection. This house was pounded with the E-tracs and A v3i but missed this one.

I've yet to find my first Indian head with my f5 , I found a 1910 wheat penny last fall and that's as close as I've come. Looks like its been in the ground for about 75 to 100 years. Nice find!

I have now 4 large cents and 4 indians.

Congratulations! I think I have only found 4...and they were all in the water if I remember...still looking for a dirt one!:clapping:
Mud

Out of the ground it read 64. I believe it was 62-64 in the gound. Just guessing.

Ouch! Thats a zinc signal! No wonder I never found a dirt one..so many zincs masking big gold rings and Indians! Good job!
Mud.

A reminder ................ Indians come in all over the place. Depends on year and make up of composition. Plus masking, minerals in ground etc.
If your in Indian territory try a few off number digs.. You could be rewarded.

That 5 inch stock coil rocks. It can pull a indian in a area that a e-trac went over 5 times and a V3i over 3 also. It must have been surrounded by trash. I like using the FA and listening to the slightest chirp nd try to get a solid repeatable
sound moving the 5 inch coil about 2 inches back and forth. Hope that helps. Bests finds so far this year photos. Been out 4 times this year.

with my machine IH can vary. But a number have been low sixties, maybe even high fifties and a very very solid midtone, or a mixed mid-high tone. But very pronounced either way. Love finding them, they are so arty. Even though ground snow is slowly receding here, i suspect the ground will be hard till May or June! CO

The FA process rocks! Nice Indian Head. Nice pictures.
