First multiple silver day with my new E-Trac

HI, all:

My small town is a product of the railroad coming through this part of Missouri in the 1870s. We used to have a depot (long gone) that had a park in front of it for the convenience of passengers waiting for their trains. The park (for the most part, still there) is a triangular shaped piece of property approx. 200 ' long by 100' wide on one end. At the 100' end now sits the town police station and ambulance service, but the rest of the park remains. The town maintains some flower beds, but it really doesn't get much use as a park these days. I asked permission from the chief of police to hunt it and he said "OK, but it's been hunted before." This was a couple of years ago. I half heartedly gave it a quick shot, but was frustrated by all the bottlecap false signals I was getting with the detector I was using at the time, and gave up. I drive by it often and always wanted to give this small park another try, but I always had "better" places to hunt, so I kept passing it by. This morning I had a few hours to kill before my dad arrived from Branson for tomorrow's Thanksgiving Day celebration, so I thought I would give it a try. I had only gone about ten feet and got a nice signal. Out popped a silver dime. Nice start. Went a little farther and got a penny. Then another silver dime. Then another penny or two and then my third silver dime. I've had my E-Trac for a month and a half and have dug several silver coins, but this was my first day with more than one silver coin to my credit. I ended up with ten wheat pennies, some clad coins and three silver dimes. 1950, 1944D and a 1943S. It was nice to pass that milesone with this wonderful machine. The more I use it, the more I love it.

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving, and keep on diggin'

Looks like you had a real nice day there Jimmy !
The E-Trac is a real coin magnet !

Looks like others gave up on that park as well. Now pound that heck out of that place and don't leave any silver for the next guy!
