First Out For 2018

It was a beautiful day for detecting and we thought we'd give it a try. I sure didn't find much but I sure had fun trying. We saw where there were a lot of plugs in the ground from others detecting. Looked as though they made a complete circle in the ground and the grass looked pretty dead. Hopefully it will come out of it.

Here's my meager finds. 4 pieces of trash and 2 zinkons. :surrender: OK, OK......I have 6 pieces of trash.

Went out, found. 1960-D cent, 1917-D cent at an old school site.

Then I discovered pottery debris scattered over an area in the corn field. We collected some of the broken pieces to turn in to the local historian who was looking for a White settlement in the early 1700's next to an Indian Village. They tried to locate the site a few years ago but were about 100 yards away and found nothing. Score big time for me.

Congratulations to the both of you on your finds. Im curious what finds might be hiding in that early settlement and Indian village.

Way to go Steve! If you need any help with that field, I know someone that would love to go.

Glad you guys were able to get out and do some detecting too.
